Working Hard, Trying our Best, Having Fun

Dear Parents and Carers,

We would like to give you a warm welcome to Barnacre Road Primary School. The moment you join our school, you and your child become part of the Barnacre family, where we do everything we can to ensure that your child thrives and is happy in their education.

Our school and educational philosophy is centred around the child. We aim to produce life long learners who grow up to be successful, well rounded individuals ready to make a positive contribution to their community and wider society. We achieve this by recognising that each child is unique and that they have different needs which have to be met.We pride ourselves on providing all our children with an exciting, broad and enriched curriculum based upon high expectations, hard work, determination and resilience.

Barnacre Road Primary School is part of The Bay Learning Trust. The Bay Learning Trust is a community of like-minded schools. We serve our community to enable pupils to flourish and achieve excellence. The Trust was set up by Ripley St Thomas Church of England Academy in 2017. Ripley is a large Academy with nearly 1800 students, 400 of whom are in the Sixth Form. The Academy has been graded “Outstanding” in its last two Ofsted inspections. Ripley has its own SCITT (School Centred Initial Teaching Training), which was also graded “Outstanding” in 2023.In 2018 Carnforth High School was welcomed into our Trust family, and then Morecambe Bay Academy and Central Lancaster High School in 2019, followed by Longridge High School in 2023. Barnacre Road Primary School is proud to be the first primary school to join the Trust on 1st February 2024. Please visit the Trust's website  About Us - The Bay Learning Trust
