Admissions

You are welcome to apply for a place in our Nursery once your child has reached his/her second birthday. Your child may take up their place at the start of the term after their third birthday – if we are able to offer you a place you will be notified a term in advance.

You may take up your place in several ways- through receipt of government funding or through payment for your  child to attend.

All 3 and 4 year old children are entitled to 15 hours universal entitlement per week from the term after their third birthday. This entitlement may be taken flexibly over 5 mornings, 5 afternoons or by using the entitlement over 2.5 full days. The 15 hour universal entitlement can only be used for core learning sessions and not for breakfast, lunch or teatime sessions.

Parents also have an option of paying for extra sessions over the 15 hours if they wish to do so. This is dependent on availability.

In addition parents can now also apply for a 30 hour funded place made up of 15 hrs universal and 15 hrs extended. The extended hours can be used for any of the sessions and not just the core learning  sessions.  Please note that if you book a school  lunch for your child this is charged and billed seperately and does not form part of your funded hours.

We have a minimum booking requirement of 3 core sessions per week for all children.

Lunch Session

Nursery's Lunch Session links our morning and afternoon sessions. The session runs from 12.00pm – 12.30pm. The cost is £2.50 for those children who bring a packed lunch and £5.00 for those who choose to have a hot school dinner. All payments are to be made via ParentPay. www.parentpay.com When your child starts Nursery they will be issued with a username and password which will then enable you to pay for lunch sessions and any other payments that need to be made. We have lunch in the school hall which is attached to nursery. This helps them to become totally familiar with this experience before they start ‘big school’. Selections are made from a weekly menu.

Breakfast and After School Club Care

Nursery Children can also access our breakfast and afterschool club for children. This runs alongside our morning and afternoon sessions and is held within the Barn Owl Club in the School Hall.  Breakfast club operates daily from 7.30am – 9.00am and afterschool club operates from 3.30pm-6.00pm.
