Primary School

Working Hard, Trying our Best, Having Fun

Welcome

Message from Jim Maloney, our Executive Headteacher

I am privileged to welcome you to our warm and friendly school where our vision - Belong, Believe, Become - is at the heart of all we do.

Every child is welcomed into our community and encouraged to belong, building a sense of identity, belonging, and pride in who they are. Alongside this, we nurture each child to believe—to develop resilience, integrity, independence, and the confidence to embrace challenges. Finally, through our shared values of respect, kindness, resilience, endeavour, and integrity, we support our children in their journey to become—aspirational, kind, ambitious individuals, ready to realise their potential and to make a positive contribution to their community and beyond.

At Barnacre Road, we're all part of one family and we warmly encourage you to come and see us for yourselves. Every day is an open day for us, so please contact Mrs Bramhall in the school office to book a visit where we'd be happy to share our school with you.

Barnacre Road Primary is proud to be part of The Bay Learning Trust family and its first Primary school. The Bay Learning Trust is a community of like-minded schools who serve our communities to enable pupils to flourish and achieve excellence. The Trust is made up of Ripley St Thomas Church of England Academy, Carnforth High School, Morecambe Bay Academy, Central Lancaster High School, Longridge High and us. The Trust also has its own SCITT (School Centred Initial Teaching Training), which trains nearly 100 future teachers each year, along with providing Early Career Teacher Education (ECTE) for qualified teachers across the North West.  For more information, please visit the Trust's website  About Us - The Bay Learning Trust
