LAND MANAGEMENT AT THE WOODLAND SITE

Year 6 joined the rest of the juniors in a day at our woodland site.  The children were a credit to themselves and worked incredibly hard.  Some of their activities included:

  • laying bark chippings to re-establish paths;
  • litter management;
  • cutting back brambles and other overgrown plants;
  • and - of course - some running games.

ENVIRONMENT DAY - SEPTEMBER 2018

Here are some photos of our woodland site visit for Environment Day in September.  The balsam had really grown and we needed to act!  Also, we used the opportunity to extend our learning about animal classification and keys outside of the classroom.  We even managed to see a newt and a toad.

Enjoy the photos...
