Our first environment day of the academic year took place on Thursday 28th September. Our class focus was on two completely different areas. Firstly, we went in search of seeds so we could discuss the clever ways in which nature arranges for the seeds to be scattered far and wide. Secondly, having looked at the sculptures and photography of Andy Goldsworthy, we set about using objects from nature to create our own sculptures. Below are a selection of the photos taken. It was muddy, but the weather was glorious which always helps to make tea from a flask taste better!

Whilst learning about the desert ecosystem, we completed chalk artwork, photographed it and wrote an instruction book showing how to create these pictures. We were very proud of our work.
