APPLE & BLACKBERRY SYRUP
Of course, we had to put the syrup through a rigorous testing procedure before any jars were donated to the community. Didn’t we?
The children clearly took a lot of persuading to help out. Look at their faces as they are ‘HAVING’ to do the boring part of the process.
CRAB APPLE JELLY
Following the success of the crumble, we again showed our co-operation and togetherness by making a scrumptious Crab Apple Jelly.
With the support of Mr Walton, Mrs Eccles & Mr Wallis, we combined science and food technology to prepare, strain and cook the liquid, which eventually turned into a jelly.
It is delicious with cooked meats, roast dinners, cheese and crackers, on toast and with a whole range on sweet meals.

As part of our TOGETHERNESS TOPIC, we showed how we could work and co-operate as a team by making a delicious mixed fruit crumble for our fellow pupils.
Mr Wallis and Mrs Davies teamed up with the usual Y6 staff members to help us on our way:
-we picked;
-we prepared;
-we cooked!
We knew just how much people loved it with the smiles on the faces of the pupils and the staff.
The only problem... everyone was too full up to concentrate in the afternoon!!!
