The science of music!
As our science topic is about understanding sound, we have had a go at playing different types of musical instruments to investigate what is vibrating to make the sound. Ear plugs were definitely needed in this lesson!
Connected to our Roman topic, the children played at being archaeologists today, excavating old pieces of pottery and reassembling them to see what they could learn about the people who would have used it. We understand that we know about the past from such discoveries. We then went on to use a traditional Roman method for making our own pots and carried out research to find out about the different types of Roman pottery and its uses.
