We love our English and literacy work in Year 6. The children often produce excellent work and they really enjoy bringing ideas to me about how we can make our class and school more enthused by reading, writing, speaking, listening and more...
Here's a letter from one of our talented pupils who is passionate about Fair Trade (and chocolate).
Well call this group of lovely children... The Creative Thinkers. They have helped organise a number literacy based activities, such as: a handwriting competition, a poetry book for Y6 and they are current planning a presentation about an article they read in a newspaper. Stay in touch for more of their activities.
Here are some early entrants into the Y6 poetry book.
Here we have a group of dedicated and enthusiastic readers, who are ready to start various book clubs throughout school, aimed at building a love of reading. They will work with EYFS, KS1, LKS2 and UKS2 groups.
